1. What is your major here at El Camino? Graphic Design

2. What other courses are you taking? 3D-Design, Political Science, and Latin Dance.

3. Do you have Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign at home? If not, do you know where you can use them outside class hours? Yes, but I have cs4.

4. Have you purchased the book yet, if not, do you know where to do this? Yes.

5. Do you know where the computer lab is? Yes, 218.

6. Do you know the computer lab’s hours? If so, what are they, if not, post them from the white board tomorrow. Yes, N/A.

7. Do you know of any designers, if so, who? Yes, Alexy Brodovitch, Brody, David Carson, Jamie Reid, and Milton Glasser.

8. Who is a successful designer in every day America? All the designers from the previous question.

9. If you could fly or be invisible, which would you choose and why? Fly, because I would be able to see things from a different perspective and feel the wind again my face.

10. What is your goal in the outcome of this class for yourself? I want o learn skills that I can use to further my career. Also I want to create more things for my portfolio to get into an art school next Fall or Spring semester.

11. What is something about you that we would never learn without your answering this question? I’ve had my work featured in four shows this year; one show is still currently going on at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. I have one photo from Kern River on display there.

12. Is there anything in particular you want to study in this course? Just getting better at choosing the right type and layout for a design tp present the message I want clearly and professionally.

Hi my name is Sam,  my nicknames is Samrokk. I’m currently going to El Camino College for graphic design. I love photography it’s one of my many hobbies. I was born in Redondo Beach. I’m loud, colorful, and outgoing. I love meeting new people and going to new places. I’ve been interested in art most of my life it is my passion. I also like to surf, snowboard, and travel.

I love the title to your post here! I think it is very sensibile and personable at the same time.

It is great to learn that you are an exhibiting artist. I highly recommend meeting Vanessa Adams and taking part in her project that I have featured on my blog here. She is really driven and would be a great connection if nothing else in the networking of the South Bay community.
